We invite specialists in radiation therapy to participate in the first conference organized by the Association of Radiation Oncologists of Ukraine (RadOnc.UA). This event serves as a professional platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience, and for discussing contemporary approaches to cancer treatment.

🔻 Program highlights:

  • Radiation Oncology

  • Medical Physics

  • Nuclear Medicine

Participants will have the opportunity to attend lectures delivered by leading Ukrainian and international experts, discuss clinical cases, explore new technologies, and address current challenges in the field.

🎯 Why is this important?

Radiation oncology in Ukraine is undergoing a significant phase of transformation.

🇪🇺 In most European countries, the specialty “Radiation Oncology” officially replaced the term “Radiotherapy” during the 1990s–2000s.

🇺🇦 In Ukraine, the official transition from “Radiotherapy” to “Radiation Oncology” took place between 2019 and 2025.

This is more than just a change in terminology.

📌 A radiotherapy practitioner is primarily a technical specialist who delivers radiation treatment but does not make independent clinical decisions.

🧬 A radiation oncologist is a physician who provides a comprehensive approach to patient care, including treatment planning, clinical decision-making, evaluation of outcomes, and active participation in multidisciplinary teams.

This conference represents a step toward establishing a unified understanding of the role of the radiation oncologist, strengthening professional collaboration, and implementing modern standards in Ukrainian oncology practice.

📄 CPD Certification

Participants may receive CPD (Continuing Professional Development) certification in accordance with Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 446 dated February 22, 2019.

Requirements for obtaining the certificate:

  • Attendance for at least 70% of the total event duration

  • Successful completion of the assessment with a minimum of 60% correct answers
